Default boost problems

hope someone can help, im new on here. my mate has got a 95 scooby and lately has been having boost problems. one minute its boosting at 0.5 next its boosting at 1.4. Today he put his foot down car coughed and splutterd and conked out, then re-started fine? plz help. thanks.

sounds like the boost solinoid i had the same happen to me

Default boost soliniod

its situated on the drivers side top mount. its the cylinder shaped thindy with three hoses coming out of it. take it off and put some carp cleaner through it that should sort out any problems.

I wouldn't use that sort of cleaner, it'll end up blowing bubbles.
