Default best place to have the lambada

I have a my93 which currently has the lambada in the headers. It needs replacing as it is faulty, but I am thinking where is best, in the headers or in the downpipe? I am thinking downpipe as later cars the sensor was moved to there so must be for a reason.
Anyone any ideas on this?

Also I have a power fc, so if I moved the lambada to the downpipe would it need anything adjusting on the power fc?

Also does anyone know the nut size on the lambada (my spanners dont go big enough, I reckon its possibly 22mm)

Cheers

I was under the impression that it was a good idea to have the lambda over a meter away from a turbo (A meter of exhaust tubing, not a straight line).
Can anyone confirm or deny?

Surely the best place for a lambada would be on the dance floor

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Okay downpipe it is then, one more question then, should it go to the top of the downpipe or to the bottom? (have spaces available in both locations.

I've found THIS article, which has some handy info about lambda placement. It does note that if it's a standard O2 sensor, then right after the turbo is fine, but if you plan to use a wideband, then it has to be further away as the heat from the turbo will damage it.

Top definately, you actually need it as close as possible to the engine for best reaction and speed of control but temperature is a major factor and in the wrong place will kill the sensor so just after the turbo is ideal as that fits with the needed heat profile for correct operation.

cheers
