Default compression test help

hi lads ,quick ?.can a compression test be done with the turbo off the car,and if so what psi should i be getting per cylinder

yes, but you will have to put the turbo oil feed into the return.. otherwise you will check oil everywhere.. the only other issue springing to mind is that it will be a cold engine.. compression will therefore show lower.. ideally you need to test a hot engine.

I cannot remember the range of the values.. only what my engine was last time.. but it is in the manual.. which I'll post a link to in a second.

IIRC you're aiming for somewhere between 120 and 180psi. Not very accurate I know but the important thing is how even they are. From memory, mine were all between 155-170psi 5000 miles into a rebuilt engine.

125 psi even on all cylinders would ideally be a starting point on a cold engine.
