Default Air con compressor not starting after rad change

I change my radiator on the weekend, everything went back fine. Obviously I had to take both fans out and mount them on the new rad. Since poping the new rad in the air con compressor no longer kicks in when I turn the aircon on. The light on the dash illuminates orange when I press the A/C button so the button seems to be working, however it does seem like an electrical problem as the compressor is not engaging on the alternator belt as it should. Could I have loosened an obvious connection somwhere when I took the rad fans off? If not are there any other ideas? The air con was working perfectly before I changed the rad.
