Tried to pop the bonnet tonight and found it still shut tight, thought I was going senile so tried again. Still shut

You can feel things working through the pull catch but it's not actually releasing. Tried pushing and pulling the bonnet to no avail!!

Any suggestions or hints on how to solve this unfortunate dilema.

Had this with my last scooby had to get somebody to push and lift the bonnet whilst i pulled the lever. I then took it off and wd40 it for about 10 mins and then greased it up. No probs after that.

Thanks Neil, with tha assistance of a workmate to operate the leaver and a can of WD40 with straw, we managed to open it this morning. I'll make sure it's kept better lubbed in future!

 

yeah de greese it and that should sort it, got some industrial degreesing lubricant on mine when it wouldn't shut lol
