Default Can a Newage WRX handle like a Newage STi ?

As above.

What are the differences between the two cars' supensions ?

Can a WRX be made to handle like an STi ?

And if you go to 330bhp, can the supension cope with it ?

I have Prodrive springs and a Whiteline ARB (on the stiffest setting ) on an 01 WRX. What are the experiences of those with 330bhp + ? Did the car end up feeling rather "point and squirt" and more obviously understeery or did it maintain it's Scooby "in the twisties" ability ?

PS I'm very happy with the way my car handles at the mo, with 273bhp.

The only difference I can think of would be the shocks

Shocks and springs are different.

Look at the link to see differences in spring rates.

NorthUrsalia.com: Spring Rate Chart

Im running a 400bhp 2002 STI and use full whiteline setup with ARB's front and rear, bushes, geometry setup with STI Struts and Eibach springs and the handling is great

I am running 360 at the moment on Tein Flex with EDFC, Whiteline Adj ARB F&R, Whitline ALK, PowerFlex bushes eveywhere else and Front upper and lower strut brace with rear strut brace. Rattles the teeth a bit but I enjoy the drive. Just need to upgrade my driving to get the full benefits.

What's the benefit of changing the bushes ? And what's "Tein Flex with EDFC" ? (There's always something new to learn on Scoobynet !! )

cheers,

I'm running EXE-TC coilovers at the moment with RCMS settings on my bugeye WRX

I'm not sure if you would like the newage STi setup (flame suit on) I have followed quite a few newage STi's and they seem to "wallow" quite a bit, much more than Bugeye WRX's with eibach springs !!

Best composed car I have followed (tried to) was a classic STi V5 LOL

Thought Newage STi's were too stiff and harsh - not too wallowy ?!

And what are "RCMS" settings ?

Cheers !

Andy

I don't think it's just the newage Sti springs, probably a combination of the springs and shocks. Perhaps "wallow" wasn't the right word....how about "bouncy".

I should have said RCMS geometry settings ..sorry, it was a bit past my bed time for a weekday LOL
