Default STI short engine in WRX

Will the short engine be a straight swop, can i use existing heads etc, or is there more to it than that?

If its from the same model year then its a matter of choosing the correct head gaskets.

Swapping phase 1 with phase 2, will require swapping over your crank sprocket wheel.

Thats good to hear, is there much difference between my 02WRX heads and STI of same year?

I am very close to purchasing a set of STI5 heads, ported and polished and was wondering would the money be better spent working mine?

you would need the sti ecu to gain full effect of the newage style heads

if you are buying the heads look for cracks around the spark plug

STI 5 heads won't be a bad value for money mod when looking for 400 +

STI5 already reworked would be far better than spending cash on your own.

I know

personally i think paying out for an sti engine to replace your working wrx is a waste of cash !!! unless im wrong and your wrx is broken ?? you cant use sti heads from the newage cars as they have AVCS and your car doesnt have this !!
