Default TMIC Question

Is there any difference in the TMIC and y-piece fitted to the blobeyeSTI 8 as opposed to that fitted to the 2.5 hawkeye STI. Also am i right in saying they changed the y-piece from the two piece metal item with the hose in the middle of one of the legs to a full metal Y. Again is there any difference in these.
thanks

only difference i can think of is the one piece wouldn't have any steps in it like the one joined with the pipe therefore would be a better flow
