Default What do i need to fit a 1996 wrx engine into my 1998 terzo 3 (UK)?

Ive been offered a 1996 wrx engine with sti pistons but im unsure of what is involved in the swap. He is gonna throw in an inlet manifold. He does mention something about 4 bolts on the bell housing but as im useless with cars i have no idea what this means?

ANy thought guys?

you would need the long engine plus cam covers (metal ones on each side).

Everything else from your engine would bolt on.. the 99 onwards has 8 bolts/studs on the bell housing.. your 98 will be the same 4bolt/stud set up.
So not an issue.

However you need to stick with your turbo as the one on the 96 engine is different..

Unless the price is very good price though there might be better replacement routes.
