Radiator smoking and coolant
When driving the car hard the radiator starts to smoke on the drivers side and when i pulled over there wash green fluid in the engine bay. I cleaned it all off and tryed to warm the car in the garage to see if i could see where it was coming from no luck so took car for a spin and it happened again and still can not see where from. The area around the header tank is dry ?. Is it a new radiator or could it be something else. Also the coolant is green and the stuff i am putting in the car from halfords is blue is this ok

The radiators tend to split down the side tanks, get a pressure test to confirm or look closely with it hot under pressure down the drivers side
Cracked radiator side tank on the drivers side , they split facing the aircon rad and is hard to spot at first . just have a good look might be worth removing front grill and you should see a hairline split ! common problem
Thanks removed grill and light, dryed it up and then reved the engine to see if it would do it but nothing it only happened when i took it on the road. Could not see any cracks but is there a join. I think it is that because the A/C radiator is wet. looks like a new radiator anybody no how much 1996 RA also where can you get the tubing may as well change that as well
Thanks Neil

I've just bought one from a company called 'Radiator specialists' in Nottingham, on Ebay.It was £89.00 with postage and dropped straight in .Ordered on a friday arrived monday morning .I have a 97 uk wagon .The rad was described as Impreza/Legacy and had a small diagram to assist with sizing .
Bought one of Ebay for £90 posted and changed it today. The fitting was easy to do and when i took off the old radiator you could see the crack. Thanks eveybody for the advice
