Hi guys,i need some advice..i have a MY00 impreza(uk spec),had a few things done,de-cat new turbo etc,3 weeks ago Andy was over ere(ireland) and mapped a few of our cars etc all seemed to have gone well,only thing is now on my AVCR,on the high boost setting of 1.3 towards the end of my rev range say 5500-6500,my knocklink flashes,i know this is bad,but yet at the 1.0 bar setting not even a hint of it flashing,just the usual green flicker,any ideas as to what should be causing this...

hi it flashes upto the red...been told to change my MAF,and install a catch can,anyone explain to me how to install the catch can...?

im not ture if a catch can will help that much really, as they are normally used to help stop oil getting into the intercooler, the mas sensor is a good place to start.

also have a look in the engine bay, to see if there is anything lose, as something rattling around can causr the knocklink to flash up.

are you using the same fuel as to what you had in when you had the remap done?

 

hi,yeah same fuel as on the map,octane booster to,didn think the catch can would help as i have FMIC,just cant understand why she only flashes on the 1.3 setting and not the 1.0,i know there is more pressure etc on the higher,but surely it would still spike,

 

could me worth having a chat with andy, it sounds like it has something to do with the higher boost, do the lights build up slowly, or just suddnely shoot up?
