Hi guys got my new gearbox and planning to fit satuday but just started the car and the CEL was on. The car seems to be running normally but I cant drive it due to box being knackered the car has been sat for just over a month but I have been starting it now and then and no CEL was on. But today it has appeared the car backfired a few times through air filter its all very strange because the car hasnt moved and no light was on before.

Shall I leave it to run and hopes it goes off and does any one have any idea what it could be I checked all fluids and they where ok. The clutch had stuck so i pumped it a few times and it was then ok.

 

If you search on this site for fault codes, depending on which model yours is you can check to see why the cel light is on. Then take it from there.

code 22 knock sensor going to take it off and clean to see if this helps
