Default What FPR's get over-powered by 255ltr pump

Doing a bit of research and it would appear that some standard fuel Pressure regulators get over-powered and fail when fitting a 255ltr fuel pump and that some don't.
If the specific to any particular MY or is it pot-luck ?

I know of people running with (MY94) an without (MY99) uprated FPR's but they are on different MY. Is this relevant ?

easy to map out if over-powered yes, but not if it's damaged/blown the reg.

never seen one that has been damaged.. just not able to keep the fuel pressure regulated when the fuel is not being consumed by the engine but returning to the tank. Having mapped and then remapped a couple with the feature they are consistent.
