Question Is it time to dump the vta dump valve?

Hi Peeps

Took the car out at the weekend for a bit of fun.
Enjoyed myself but on two occasions the earth moved a bit too much!

In 3rd at ~ 5500RPM, I squeezed a little bit more with the intention of changing to 4th at 6000RPM or just past - I try not to drive whilst staring at the rev counter Last second I changed my mind as the next corner was coming up pretty quick (*still getting used to the extra progress I make). As I let off a little bit I had some crazzzzy juddering which freaked me out as of course I wasnt expecting it. I quickly changed to 4th and gently drove through the corner thinking WTF?!

I tried the same thing again when I next had a suitable bit of road. I managed to do it again but this time I put the gas back on and it was OK. Annoyingly that was the only time I managed to repeat it, not that I was trying to break the car!

I'm wondering if its the VTA HKS SSQV to blame and perhaps I should forsake the noise and get a re-circ kit for it?

What do you peeps think?

Cheers

Molds

Having read the "judder" thread, I'm wondering if I could try winding the tension off a bit on the SSQV? Running TMIC so not the same as all you boys in "judder" but could it be the same problem?

Some good stuff (much of it over my head) in here

As confused as ever now though. Harder, softer, OEM, re-circ.

Arrrgghhh!

second hand OE recirc can be had for little cash, I think I paid a tenner for mine off ebay (MY01> TMIC style). So for that price it's worth getting one, or borrowing one, swapping it over just to see if that eliminates the problem.
