Hi folks,
I have a 97 STI v3, it has a hks ind kit, full stainless system inc. decat. I recently installed a boost gauge to it (tee'd off the dump valve) to see what it is boosting as I found a manual boost controller (regulator) fitted. The gauge is blitz and it shows I have no boost at all untill around 3850, then 1.2 bar, minute you lift off it the gauge drops to zero, touch the throttle and it goes back up, should STi's run off boost until nearly 4k and the boost die off that quickly?
The car definitely drives different to the other 2 none STI's I have owned, any ideas???

what do you mean by no boost at all till 3850???...what does the gauge actually show?
the boost will disappear as you take your foot off

my WRX shows -600 at idle, aprox 0 at part throttle around 2500rpm, 0.5bar at 3k rpm and 1.1bar at 4k rpm

..unless its on a dyno, in which case it runs up to 1.1bar at 4200rpm and then drops to 0.5br for the remainder of the run <BUGGER!>
