hi all,

as above.whats going on here??installed z4 ecu on my93 import
ive taken it out on short runs ....still running lumpy seems like engine
is holding back through the revs??? still!! put 97 ron in or could there be a
problem elsewhere or is this the norm is ecu still learning?
or do i need to take car on a longer drive??
reset the ecu yesterday(the proper way)...check light keeps flashing on and off quickly is this normal???. please help me....whats wrong here or will
the ecu sort it out ..will it run normally again

The CEL shouldn't be flashing at all have you checked for fault codes Chris Palmer's Home Page.
When i installed mine i went for an hour driving at various (legal) speed limits.

dont quote me on this but i think the z4 is mapped for a higher ron fuel than 97, try filling up with v power when you have used all your 97 ron fuel.

Or add some octane booster if the higher RON fuels aren't avaliable
