Default Help car keeps cutting out at 5000 rpm

I have just put a rebuilt engine in new plugs new coils and maf when you put your foot down at 5200 rpm it cuts out in 2,3,4,5 gear if you power up slow it is okay I have put a light weight crank pulley on and I have a apexi avcr and the rpm on that is reading lower than the gauge on the car could this cause it? I do think it is a boost problem as the car runs sweet and loads of power I have turned boost off and it is better but still cuts out just not as harsh please help as I feel like trashing it after spending almost£15000 on it in the last 6 months cheers

Sound like fuel cut to me.

What Engine and ECU have you got? Do you have a boost guage, of so what does it peak at?
