What does L-Jetro mean for apexi PFC ecu's?
I have the chance to get an apexi power fc ecu and controller for my scoob
Great, until im told that it is the L-Jetro version
I understand quite a lot about the apexi power fc ecu's and its definately for my car as its the D-E Version (sept 1996-aug 1998) and I have a GC8D4ED car, also it has the three plug connector which it should have.
So is it a good thing like a rare version with extra features or just pass this offer by as it may cause problems? Google search (usually excellent) turned up not much to detail it.
Anyone able to shed some light on this for me please?

There is only two versions for the impreza (for each phase)..
the normal and the pro... they are both the same except the pro was altered to have an ignition cut for rev limit rather than fuel cut and to have a setting for an extra lower rev limit below a set speed.. so you could sit at a start line with foot to the floor and the powerfc keeps the revs to the set limit for launch.
The L-Jetro on other makes is the air flow meter version and then you have D-Jetro versions for the MAP sensor version.. they never made a MAP version for the Impreza so therefore you only have the normal or pro version.. although you could call the normal version the L-Jetro..
so long and short of it.. as long as it is the correct year version which it sounds like it is then it should be perfect for the job.

Cheers Simon
So this is probably the version found on most if not all impreza's and it would not really be a 'rare' one then, maybe the person selling it wants to eek a few more quid out of me?
I presume it will operate as normal then with no real extra options or added benefits, just enjoy what the mapper can do?
p.s. I may be calling on your services soon simon.
