Engine cleaner

Are the engine cleaners you see in halrford and on the net actually any good? they claim to clean the engine and slightly improve bhp but do they actually clean the engine or is it a load of 'Liverpool fc'?

Unless you have a problem, just treat your car to correct fuel and oil, service it and enjoy.
