Default this intercooler any good?

anyone fitted one of these?
supposed to be easy fit, first time ive seen one for the early type.

would this be better than fitting a newer type sti?

Look at the interior core pictures, the ARC one looks better made.....size isn't everything.

I think there was a review of different top mounts in last months' Japanese Performance, could be worth trying to track down a copy. They tested one on there that looked very similar, and it wasn't that good....

Second what DAMOCELL said arc is better quality and flow just sold a slanty one due to front mount mod Why not go the sti route build quality and flow try in the wanted section their should be a few about

They are crap quality mate. Notice no pic of it on the car. if you look at the one for 2001 on, that dont fit. In one pic the bolt dont fit in another pic they have fitted a bolt but the other end is pushing on the brake resevior. so it ain't gone to be any better fitment I suspect... Save up for a pukka one from a reputable company/make

also read about "them types" in jp. i wud steer clear, save a little more and get a quality piece of kit, well imho anyways!

I'd go for a later sti intercooler mate, flow rates are much better than poor aftermarket ones. I'v just fitted an sti8 intercooler to my m/y94 sti and what a differance it made when mapped!!!
