Default STI 4 Info?

Hi.

I have just invested in an STI V4 on an R plate and have just a few techi questions.

What is the standard ecu in these ones and what is the eu upgrade for these?
Is it still the Scooby ecu upgrade as in my old my93 wrx?

What boost do they normaly run as standard?

Mine also seems to have the front fogs can you get covers for these?

What is the general tuning course with these?

Sorry for all the questions and i honestly did search so i didn't have to write all this but to no avail

Thanks
Dave

Thumbs up

A total ecu replacement is the norm on a STi ver4 if you want to upgrade...
Make sure your adding octane booster while running on the standard map...
Fogs light covers can be got... dunno from where... someone else should be able to help alittle more...

ecu is AE360

good choice would be apexi PFC for replacement
Not sure how far southeast you are but this guy over that way ish
Jolly Green Monster - ECU Mapping

normal boost is approx 1.1bar

cover can be had from here but theres plenty of other suppliers about
Subaru Parts at Graham Goode Racing

IMO a basic tune would be, full decat, less restrictive intake, REMAP...
if youre still not happy then the list becomes endless fmic......etc etc etc

Apexi Remap would definitely be the first on the list..... Exhaust system and some fuelling mods to support and you will have a rapid road car

Following on to my questions above.

is the STI 4 meant to sound smooth on tickover???

Do they sound the same as a normal WRX?

Mine does not sound smooth on idle and i cannot for the life of me even remember how its supposed to sound.
Any tickover soundclips for people like me?

Thanks
Dave
