On your model you already have a 3 port boost solenoid so you won't need one of those.

I recon with that little lot, set up, and mapped properly, you'll be looking at 300-310 bhp, with around the same in torque . Top end speed will probably only go up about 10-15mph.

I'd personal recommend getting some 550's instead of the 440's. Reason being if you decide to add any more mods, you would have reached the 440's limit and you'll have to go through the expense of buying yet more injectors.

Having slightly bigger injector won't matter, as long as you get them mapped correctly. Don't go getting 770 or 850 or anything stupid like that just yet.

Next on the list, I'd say chuck a set of headers at it, a FMIC and boost controller, with some light weight pulleys.

As for the tubo, my perferance would be to stick with the 04, just get it reconditioned with some cut back blades and modded thrust bearing. Smaller turbo quicker spool up, equals less lag, although that said it will limit you power, a 05 will give you more.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

Yes mate. Version 3 and above have a 3 port solenoid already. It's only version 1's and some version 2's that don't.

If you do decided to go with the 440's, then there are a set on Ebay at the moment for £45. They end in a couple of hours.

I thought the classic uk car pre 99 only had 380 injectors, 2 Port selenoid and came with a TD04.

The turbo is going to be your restricting factor, The TD04 will struggle to get more than 285ish BHP even a hybrid one you'll struggle to get 320BHP+.

It's very cheap to get up to 300BHP but it works out quite expensive if your looking for over that figure. You need to work out what figure you want.

I've a My99 uk turbo and wanted 330BHP, For me that was quite easy as the car already has 440 injectors which are good for around 340BHP, The standard fuel pump is again ok for these levels.

I changed the TD04 turbo for a VF28, Which is bigger but quick spooling, Fitted a FMIC, I already had a 3" decat and an induction kit, Had it remapped and bobs your uncle.

Don't worry about what people say about lag, Unless your going for a really big turbo 20G upwards, Your only going to be talking about 2-300 RPM later for full boast spool and a good mapper while work this out anyway.

One thing you will have to consider is the gear box and clutch, I had my clutch replaced pre the above work for an Exedy uprated one but I blew my old gear box in three weeks, It just didn't like the extra power and torque

My MY00 had 2 port solenoid - changed to 3 port when I had it remapped.

Do any of them have 3 ports as standard?

On your first post I thought you stated you already had them?

If not then yes they will fit no worries.

For lots of good info have a look here:
