Default Catch tank ?

My Impreza has an oil breather/catch tank fitted, there is 1 pipe entering it and 1 exiting. The 1 exiting just hangs down at the rear of the engine. Is this right or should it be going somewhere ?

thats a quick way of doing it, the other choice is to have a small breather filter on the outlet which I have. Basically all its doing is letting your crankcase breathe.

Ok.Ill get a breather filter to go on there. Is it normal for condensation to build up in the breather pipes and puff out of the pipe when the car hasn't been used for a couple of weeks ?
