Default Knocking /grinding noises

Horrible noises from everywhere it seems on stiv4
Driving along happily get to a junction ,dip clutch .Start to pull away and clutch pedal seems not to return fully sart hearing a slight knock which turns into a loud knock as revs rise then a horrible grinding screeching noise. Stopped immediately and tentatively restart engine get very slight knock clutch works fine pull away ok no great noises drive a couple of miles carefully then slow down and Horrendous knocking metallic screeching and clicking from what seems everywhere. Turn off ,restart back to very light knocking raise revs and all hell lets loose but oil light goes out very quicklyon startup.
Engine or clutch breaking up ? Anyone had similar

From what you desribe it does sound like a clutch issue. Did the noise change when depressing the clutch while stationary?

Removed engine and sump today and it seems that the webs of the crank are chaffing the block away. Seems like a thrust washer issue ,is this common?
Only mod it has is exedy uprated clutch.
Will the block now be knackered?
Heeeelpp!!!
