Default Why would you fit just an APEXI AFM?

Might be trading my UK Turbo for a V5 STI. However, it has an APEXI AFM fitted.

I understand fitting an AVCR but why would you fit JUST an AFM?

Perhaps breathing mods have been fitted which would benefit from the AFM being fitted to fine tune the fuelling?

Engine is standard. Maybe aftermarket panel filter but not induction.

Can't know for sure being an import but I doubt its been touched.

Can't believe its just for the knock detection. Was hoping its been fitted to allow safe running on UK fuel.
