Default guddering when cold on low revs

ive noticed in the last week when i first start my car its really guddering on low revs but as soon as i put my foot down it pulls through it and its fine..it always starts first time but i stalled it the other day reversing off my drive and it took a while quite a few cranks to start it up..when it did start abit more smoke than usual come out of the exhaust..i think its flooding?
any ideas?
