Can someone please tell me what useless piece of electronics is responsible for the max 112mph on an import? And more to the point, how can i get rid of it?

i presume your talking about a classic?

i believe you need to replace the dash or put a converter on the back of it, give Scooby Clinic | The UK's Largest Independent Subaru Specialists a bell and i'm sure they can help you out.

i cant see no little boxes or anything on either end of the cable, when i turn my lights on my speedo is a slightly different colour and brighter...

to have 180mph clocks do i need to just change my speedo face back to a 180 one or do i need to change the clocks?

The converter just fools the limiter, so instead of the limit being 180KPH its 180MPH, so its still there but you'll never hit it

I think this is the most comon way of bypassing the limit.
