TSL PPP to 333???
Hi, I've got a MY05 STi with PPP. I've spoken to TSL about their PPP to 333 conversion. Has anyone had it done? If so, what do you think? Any alternatives? I'm looking for a remap with minimal other changes, up to a grand.
Cheers!

your car already being ppp will have the right bits on it now to get more power ie downpipe back box uprated fuel pump etc.All your need is the map which will cost you abut £500. You may want to change the centre section of your exhaust which is restrictive and mild steel, replacement £80 on e bay thats it !.
should see 330 bhp with torque to match.

Had my 03 STi PPP re-mapped by TSL (Richard Bulmer) back in March, nothing else, just the re-map. As a PPP it made just over 300bhp on Power Engineerings rollers. With the re-map it made 341 on the same rollers.
Although I was prepared to, there was no pressure whatsoever to change any exhaust componants. On my findings, I rate TSL highly.

mine too had the 333 remap and retained all ppp bits - 53 plate sti.
332/ 290 on the rollers. Not bad expenditure considering costs although I suspect the likes of Bob Rawle and Andy F would be able to do the job just as well and depending on opinion, better.
Bob has since remapped mine (as well as Andy so I've had them all so to speak) and added a few bits in the interim.
Guess you have to think about where you want to take the car in terms of power figures etc.

i had a prodrive two years ago then tried a tsl 333 but in my opinion didnt justify spending the extra, then i tried the rcm 350 package and they (tsl and rcm) were day and night but each to their own

Thanks everyone. Do you reckon changing the centre piece is essential? The remap should be invisible in event of a warranty claim - the centre piece wouldn't.... JohnD seemed to get an excellent result without.

Lenny,
we have a money back guarantee on all our remaps if you are not entirely satisfied with the results and more importantly we're local to you for future mods once you commit to that slippery slope

My 03 sti ppp made 300/299 on Power station rollers , with PSTN remap initial new map gave 327 bhp , but was knocked back to 320/301 in the end.
Powerstatio advised changing exhaust to 3" miltek with cat would give 330-340 bhp.
that's my next move.
