which oil??
ive searched through loads of different threads, phoned a couple of oil suppliers and spoke to scoobyclinic, but they have all given me different answers,
basically i have a 94 wrx import, its done 92000 not sure if there all miles, it has full straight through stainless k&n d/v and aparently been remapped but not 100% sure an thats about it,
ive been told off the oil suppliers to use 10w 40 semi synthetic, i gave them the reg number and this is what they came back with this and scoobyclinic recommend 10w 50 fully synthetic
so i thought i would pick a few brains on here and see what you guys recomend
and while ive got a thread what is the engine code for my car???

Eneos 0w50 fully synthetic oil
I would recommend Eneos 0w50 by nippon oil, you will definately feel the difference and your engine will be alot smoother and quieter, however 3k mile oil changes are highly recommended, here is a link with more information about this oil ENEOS NIPPON OIL (U.K.) PLC

..
u will need approx 4.8 litres, yes i had tappy tappets especially on the cold mornings and this oil sorted it out, my engine is extremely quiet and smooth now,The only downside with this oil is that it costs £40 for 4 litres and you have to buy another 4 litres to make up the 0.8 as the 1 litre top up is currently not been launched yet

I use 10/40 motul and as far as i have read on other threads people use 10/40 , 10/30 and most people including the oil man if i remember rightly dont recomend 0/40 or 0/50 as it is too thin and some people have gained oil leaks due to using a 0w , do a thread search on oil as most people will say dont put 0w in a scoob !

am i best off using fully synthetic oil instead of semi synthetic oil, ive searched lots of threads and most of the threads i read have people arguing saying which is best and never end up in a proper answer
