Default Turbo timer question

Hi Folks,

I just just bought my 3rd Scooby a 97 STi and it came with a Clifford 650 alarm inc built in turbo timer, which is set to 1 minute. I called the folks that installed it and they said I have to bring it back for them to change the time. I was told you only need 1 minute idle no matter how you drive the car. I was going to fit a spare hks turbo timer I had lying around just wondering what people think about the lenght of idle time?????

Cheers,
Andy.

Wink

Whats wrong with driving the car off boost for the last mile or two and then just turning it off. If turbos were as weak as everybody seams to think, dont you think subaru would of fitted a timer as standard?
