but i feel it works best for modded engines in the longterm

I have a MY00 classic and have the flat4online intercooler and it does what it says on the tin. My car with supporting mods is 360bhp and the intercooler has been mapped in.

You will need to get your ECU remapped or in your case a remapped chip put it if you fit a FMIC

You don't HAVE to though. I've got an FMIC on mine, similar age car with no remap or chip.

Of coarse you don't have to but it is recommended, as it adds a good few foot that the air has to travel.

Maybe I should of phrased it better. To be safe it is better to get it remapped.

Wasn't trying to pick faults or anything mate I will probably at some point get an Apexi or similar. Just not yet

I heard a rumour a little while back that ScoobyClinic had cracked the early ECU's and could therefore remap them. I'm not sure how true that info is though.

Yeah just been on their site looks like you can, they even have a price on there for doing it in the ECU Mapping section

So much cheaper than Ecutek!

Might be worth a thought I'll have a look on the SC site.

Just had a look. It seems that they remap the ScoobyECU chip going off the wording.

you'll need a dump valve to fit a v4 , 97-98 for your front

i do believe there's a baileys vta venturi going in the general for sale section for peanuts

my fmic is an autobahn88 , cheap but good quality.

Steer well clear of any so called performance chips on E-Bay...
Save the pennies and get yourself either an Apexi Power FC or the new Simtek Ecu and get it mapped by someone who knows what they are doing...
