Can you not open the boot directly with the key?
If/when you get into the boot I believe there is a little lever on the latch assembly which enables and disabled the lever. You've probably knocked it when getting stuff in and out.

The only thing I can think of that might not involve damaging something is if the rear bumper was taken off there might be some access to the mechanism via a hole in the body work if your lucky.
Got no idea though to be honest ... you might need to make some strategic holes to gain access.

You should be able to get in if you take the back seat out, have you caught the lever on the lock as this would disable the boot pull.Blame Rich for de-lockin the boot LOL

I'm sure there will be (but I cant advise) ... if you've got the money someone will be glad to take your hard earned cash and sort it!
Have you got someone to help pull and push the boot (jiggle it about) while you frantically pull the release lever whilst thinking about how much money you'll be paying a stealer to sort it.

My bugeye has a lever on the boot lid lock mechanism that disables to remote openy thing maybe that was flicked, dont know if classic had that. No idea why its there I'd prefer a rear wiper, in fact I'll swap the 'bright' switch and that for a wiper lol.
Back seats out and crawl thru I guess. You could always uprate the fuel pump while the seats are out

Just wondering ... as everyone is suggesting the removal of the back seats (which certainly would be the best option) can you actually get the back of the back seats out without going into the boot?
