Default FMIC + Dump Valve

Hi guys,

I currently have a TMIC with a Forge VTA plonked on there on the Impreza P1. I'm getting a FMIC fitted later this month, and have the option of a HKS SSQV or sticking with a standard Recirc.

General opinions? Not really a techy person.

Does anyone know where I can get the mounting plates from and related pipework/hoses for either dump valve, and which is the easiest to fit and live with? Just a case of stockpiling the bits and pieces together, but I dont want the guy fitting the FMIC to contact me to say he cant fit the dump valve because somthing is missing, so I'd like to know exactly what I need so if you have links etc as you've done this before, it would be very much appreciated!

Cheers guys, as always, and hope someone can show me the way!

Da one,

That is a picture of my kitchen table. With my home made flanges, one of them attached to my version 8 Forge re-circ valve, and the other my flange for a V5/6 set up. All made by me.

So to pass them off as your own bearing in mind you are doing this commercially is a little cheeky!

Would have been nice if you asked first - feel free to use the pics but please do not pass them off as yours!

In the interests of accuracy, your pikey version has clearance holes drilled so you have to use a nut and bolt.

My version i have tapped the threads in the flange so you only have to use bolts.

i ran a fmic on my wrx type ra and disconected the bov altogether. ( i am not suggesting you do as i imply no warranty !!!) as the tdo5 is suggested to be strong enough to cope with it. it came on boost like a punch in the chops . harder than a top mount and had a lovely wrc style chirp ! due to no recirc bov etc.. just my 2 bobs worth !
