securing vacuum hoses? How?
As above really!
I still have a very annoying overboost problem. I installed a Dawes device to cap the boost at 1.1bar. I set the Dawes in 5th gear at 4000rpm under heavy load. Over 5,000 - 5,500rpm the boost creeps up to 1.4-1.5 bar. Obviously I don't want this. I have had the actuator tested and it was fine.
This points me in the direction of the hose connected from the turbo elbow to the Dawes, and the pipe from the Dawes to the actuator (2 pipes really as there is a reducer in between). I'm thinking there may be a split or pin hole in the pipes or that the boost is escaping where the pipes attatch.
I'm going to replace the hoses for brand new stuff, but... what could I use to clamp the vacuum hoses to where they are meant to be fitted? I thought of cable ties, but they do not grip 360 degrees round.
Any ideas???????

it is boost creep, and it's nothing to do with the dawes or vacuum hoses. The wastegate hole is too restrictive, to fix it properly, you need to gasflow it (for want of a better term).
Do a search for boost creep.
