Never heard of it. A 3B is from a 1994 WRX Wagon and setup for the TD04 Turbo

I've been upgrading Impreza ECU's since 2001 and have seen plenty of variants but never a 4B.
It may be from a Legacy ? as the Leggy of similar years runs a similar ECU, but not with a TD05 Turbo AFAIk.

There was a link on here somewhere to a Jap site that listed all the ECU and car model codes. But I only used it once.........
The Wagon ECU I know of are : 1C, 3B, V5 & V9, with the V5 being an Auto IIRC.

The 4B ecu was used on 'C' series WRX wagons with auto transmission.

Have you got the link to the above mentioned site ?
As mentioned I looked at it once, but didn't entirely agree with some of it from my own expereinces.

There is a list on the prova website, not sure if that is the one you are thinking of. Unfortunately they removed the early cars from the list and now only have the v5 models onwards.

I'm doing the rest from memory, and sometimes get it wrong! Being a japanese site, they do not list the UK/EU models.
'C' series ran from late '94 to late '96 pre-facelift models.
