Default Help needed

Car would not start this morning. The engine turns over but will not start, i tried disconnecting both the Cam/Crank sensors but to no affect.

Is it the MAF?
If yes does it matter that I have a HKS induction kit and where can I get one at a reasonable price I have a UK MY97.

Thanks

Can't imagine it being the MAF. Car would still start but then run lumpy and stall.

When you turn the key to the on position can you here the fuel pump buzzing before you start the car?

Does the car have an after market immobiliser?

I believe if you disconnect the crank/cam sensors the car would still not start, it uses a pilse from the crank sensor to know what point the engine is at, so it knows wen to fuel and fire. If fuel pumpo is working then sounds like crank sensor.

could be the fuel pump but then again it could be the alarm or fuel pump fuse or relay, it could still be alot of things to be honest. it might be a quiet fuel pump so you need to check to see if there is fuel pressure at the engine. I wouldnt jus try a fuel pump for the sake. May be worth getting it checked out by a garage. Where you based??

Was reading some thread about loose connections and alarms being able to cause the above as the car refused to start immediately after I gave a mate a Jump start. will check connections

Wink

Have checked the connections to the fuel pump does not seem to be any 12v there so it could be either a fuse loose wire or maybe the immobiliser, where is the fuel pump fuse/relay as I do not know where they are
