Vf23 good for up to 330/340 bhp and 1.4bar max as blades can be fragile on the vfs.

All the information above is good but you will find it is a VF24 on your model, not that it makes much difference. Still the same output and do not exceed 1.4 bar as Einstein says.
If you shine a spot light on to the front of the turbo, on the top of the compressor snail, you will see some information stamped there. It will include IHI VF24 or 23 or whatever.
If you cannot see it easily you can slcken off the heat shield.

Do you know what model number your car is and is it Blue?

I have one of these Wagons, V- Limited 096/555. Very impressed (pun intended)with it. On standard injectors, ECU, TMIC and turbo but doing 335bhp/333ft. lbs. Very good on fuel.
Let me know if you want the full spec.

i'll check the code, yes it's a blue one, number 202/555, running on 98ron with all standard about 300ps and 360Nm.
I'm going to do a full mod at Tracktive next year.
mine is has front JUN spoiler and japanese dampers and springs (-50mm) on speedline 16" 205/50 dunlop sp9000.
japanese cat back exhaust (don't know the make).
the car was modded by AOMORI SUBARU of Tokyo.

300ps would be attained on Jap fuel only not European, on our fuel you will be closer to 280 ps on standard boost pressure which should be 1.1 bar.

Interesting. The turbo on mine is VF24 and I believe it is the OE turbo unless it was changed before the car left Japan.
Einstein : Can you copy me any documentation you have showing what should be on an STi 3 Wagon etc. and what did the car have ?
tsl202 : My e-mail address harveysmith1@btopenworld.com if you send me your e-mail address I will send you some pics and I am happy to receive any you want to send.

That is the gentleman's agreed figure however it was claimed by many sources that the V3 Stis were actually putting out 300ps.

I don't have any documentation as such but IIRC all V3 Stis had VF23s the Vf 24 did not appear until the V4 Sti.
