Wink

Try Powerstation. They can remap and fit an exhaust at the same time, and they have a lot of experience with JDM cars.

So you get a suitable response.

Now more knowledgable observers will know exactly why the recommendation was for Bob Rawle.

Agreed, but more knowledgable observers will also understand my reasons for the 1st post and why the baite was taken so easily.

But I too, agree with the recommendation of BRD.

Scott : I come on here to help people if I can. I don't recommend someone because they are a mate although I see that this is the practice of many others. I make a recommendation based on my knowledge. If I don't know the answer I don't post and if I am asked something I don't know, I say so quite clearly and perhaps recommend the best source of information.
Your first post was uncalled for and unhelpful and there are too much of that on here which is detrimental to this board.
I also note that a lot of people recommend a particular tuner because they are mates or associates, not because of their ability or competance in a particular field. Just because someone can map a GEMS does not mean they are the ideal person for an Ecutek.
Another thing that there is a lot of is people recommending a particular component because they have it not because they have tried and tested it against other similar components. Similarly people will recommend a mapper because they got a benefit from that mapping session but they don't really have anything to compare it with because they don't have experience of other mappers or have put a lot of effort in to determining the gains from that mapping session and any further potential left within the system.

You might be here for a laugh in which case go to muppets.

If your staying with the standard ecu Anny Forest is good, I had my newage mapped with him about 6 times (after more mods) better each time , Now I have a custom ecu fitted and mapped by Pat at the Scooby Clinic , and Pat is very good with mine , Pat all so does the standard ecu mapping so my vote would go for Pat and Andy , As these are all I have used to map mine, Any way good luck who ever does it, Alan.

Harvey : I also help people were I can, spending most of my time in the Technical Forum.
With my post count approaching 5000, 80% of these are probably providing sound advice and 20% seeking advice.
In the 6 years of Scoobynet membership I think I have managed to work out :
Who’s mates with who
Who recommends who
Who are part time sellers of parts/goods
Who are trading under the guise of a private member.

This isn’t all directed at you, but many others included.

My 1st post on this thread was in response to the shock of seeing you recommend Bob, when I know you have close links with Steve.
I must admit to not reading the initial post correctley, and hadn’t realised that it was referring to purely an ECUTEK remap that Steve may not be able to provide.

Besides, you do not know in what manner or tone my 1st post was sent.
It may have been a serious dig or it may have been mischievous. I’ll leave that for you to decide.
If you decide it was the former, then I apologise for making this, what I believe, to be the 1st post of nearly 5000 to offend.

If you're in the southern half of the country then Bob gets my vote. His mapping experience speaks for itself. He's also a nice guy who wants to see his customers totally happy with their car.

If you're up north then you should be giving Andy F a call.

You haven't mentioned where you're based but if you're local to London or Essex it may be worth looking in the Group Buy section
