2.5Inch Sports-Cat Downpipe : What's it power limit ?
I have recently fitted a 2.5inch Sports-Cat downpipe am now wondering if I am at the upper limits of it's capabilities to provide good 'non-restricitve' flow.
Car is currently running VF28, Ported Headers, STi Panel Filter, 1.35bar and a full 2.5 inch system and pushing 310-320BHP+
Is this sports cat going to be on 'the edge', as I may be me imagining things but high rpm seems to be holding back compared to the full decat.
It's also richened up by about 0.4AFR too.....
The sales patter for these thing is good i.e only 2-5BHP less then a decat pipe. But what's this with reference too, a 220BHP standard car or something pushing out 300BHP+. I expect it's the former........

Interesting Article from APS. States that with a Sports Cat there is 3.5psi of back pressure at 325BHP, rather then 1.5psi without the cat.
