Default Gudgeon Pin Removal Tool Required

Just a quick post to see if anyone has a Gudgeon Pin Removal Tool that I could borrow as I need to split my crank case as part of a rebuild on my MY00 Classic.

All help gratefully received, postage etc covered.

Just use a 18" length of steel rod to insert through the block and drift the pins out

Agree with fiestaboy,i use a piece of 6mm round silver steel bar - remove the gudgeon pin circlips and gently tap out No1+2 pins from the rear(bell housing)of the engine and No3+4 pins from the front of the engine.

We had a chap come in the other day who didn't need one!
We MOT'd the car, cat swap, usual stuff. The car was perfect and sailed through his test no problem. We put the de cat back on and parked it outside.
Next thing we know, when the Man came to pick his car up, it won't start! Starter motor's clunking and that's all.
Much anxiety at this point! - you know the feeling ( what have we done wrong? ) We started by removing the starter, then realised the engine wouldn't turn over. then we checked the cam timing, still no joy, then removed the gearbox, then clutch and flywheel. Still nothing, the crank would only turn about 10 degrees then solid. Out came the engine, off came a head. Still no sense, until we removed the two bolt plate covering the gudgeon pin hole on the rear of the motor, and there was the pin, poking through the hole! there was no clip visible, and the pin must have popped out just as the engine stopped at that point as we parked it.
The owner had the engine rebuilt just recently, thankfully ( on this occasion )not by us! Block is written off unfortunately.
We're all still gobsmacked at that one!
