Default Buying the engine block only

Hi

I recently saw a thread that mentioned it was possible to purchase the engine block (i.e. not pistons etc, just the casing) by itself. Unfortunately, I havent been able to locate this thread again, so could anyone who has done this tell me where they sourced their block from?

Cheers

You can buy a 2.5 block, bare, from Scooby Mania - all Imprezas are equal, some more equal than others

Any of the subaru specialists doing 2.5 conversions should be able to sell you a removed short block.

This may be slightly hard since Subaru introduced the 2.5 as standard

True, we often have 2.0L (used) short blocks available from customers' cars which we have converted to 2.33/2.5 Etc.

These "engine block only" items though are Brand New, in the box. We keep assembled EJ257 short engines, cranks Etc in stock also.
