P1 centre pipe on MY00 Classic
Is it true that the Standard P1 cenre section does not have a cat fitted?
If this is the case would there be any advantage to swapping this with my standard catted centre section?
Would smashing the cat out of my centre section have tha same effect?

My investigations came to the conclusion that the P1 center has no cat ... which is confirmed by being quite cheap from a dealer. Would probably be the same as smashing yours out but I'm not sure how smooth you gas flow would be. There's plenty of less hassle cheap options out there.

its the same as a jdm center section,a baffle pipe..... has a perforated tube in side with some sound deadening around it to lessen the noise slightly.... i run one with a decat downpipe and a miltek silencer to keep the noise down a tad..... seems its only gonna restrict the flow slightly enough to lose a couple of hp at the most over a straight through decat pipe...... so yes not a cat
