I noticed that members post BHP. Is this to the wheels?

For instant, 99/00 Type R running the VF28 can do 300-330bhp. Is this at the wheels? I knowt he VF22 can do that at the wheels.

The example you have given will be at the flywheel.

Most figures you see bandied about on here will be at the flywheel unless otherwise specified.

To get this at the wheels you will need 400 BHP+ at the flywheel and the VF22 will not do this.

Thanks P1.

There are sites, including vendors, that states this, including results that post 300+whp for the vf22.

So the VF28 will do up to 300whp?

A VF28 will get you 340 ish max More likely in the 320 region though) at the flywheel. assume about 22% loss and then work out your wheel figure.

The VF22 is the biggest VF, probably the most powerful, and definetly the laggiest.

330 BHP at the wheels is roughly 425 at the crank/flywheel. A VF22 is not going to do that IMHO

the US has smaller horses than we do, we have those big Shire f**kers, the US has a pony for comparison.

Hence why their numbers come up higher than ours.

If i dynoed my car in the US id expect it to be about 50 higher than i get here.

I did some more research. Since this comes on a STI doing 260hp@ the fllywheel, then I expect that 300hp @ the flywheel is max., which will be about 240+whp. Which is comparible to the sti v6 doing 280, which is about 230-240whp.

I wanted a vf22 bad for my mod to flow above 4000rpm and the guy had the 28. I was sad, but I am pretty happy that it will give me some gains, since I only want 3-8psi for my non turbo motor until I change.

You see, I am a Subaru ECU Tuner and will be dropping in a Hydra soon, but I cannot wait to feel and hear my non turbo EJ20R w/ AVCS behave

Are there repair kits for this turbo?

I find when I spin the compressor or the turbine, it slows down very quick. THe turbo was put down for about a year now. It is in fine condition externally. I just need a tool to get the blades of.

Are any options for hybrid and kits?
