Default Will a electronic boost controller cure BOOST SURGE ?

got this problem with my m8's JDM twinscroll

he's got a full decat, CAI, fuel pump, and ECUTEK3 map from a well known mapper.

the thing is he is having a boost surge from 3.8k-4.8k rpm, this happens after the remap. and was told its normal due to the CAI, as also stated on the Webmaster's thread - Newage mod.

will a Electronic boost controller like Greddy/Apexi cure the boost surge?? as the after market boost solenoid are better then the stock 3 port?

Not too sure it will mate.
I had mine remapped on Saturday with RCM 80mm Induction. Applying full throttle from below 3k revs in 6th sees surge. I emailed the mapper who confirmed turbo (18G) configuration was the cause and solution would be to turn down the response. Just learning to drive around the issue which isn't hard for me as it only happens in 6th off boost.

I've sent you a copy of the email as there is an interesting point concerning resolution of surge issue on UK v JDM cars which might be of interest.
