New Earthing Kit fitted - RPM needle hunting slightly?
Evening all, ive finally fitted my Rage Racing Earthing Kit. It took me a good few hours to finally get it all together.
In the end i had to re-attach the original battery earth cable to the new Distribution block.
The cables now go to both struts, 2 earth points at the front of the engine bay, 1 to the inlet manifold and the other to an Intercooler Post. Some of the cables werent as long as i was hopeing but ive got cables where i could.
Would the ECU have reset itself due to me messing with the battery terminals?
The car seems to run fine, the hesitation at 3k seems to be gone and the lights / heater / radio all work great.
I took the car out for a run ( 10 mins ) to see how it was - ive since noticed when i stopped to pull into my garage that the rev needle now hunts from 800rpm to about 950rpm's - you can actually hear the engine changing tune.
It never did this before - or if it did it wasnt noticable / audible.
Has my tinkering highlighted a problem somewhere or should i just forget about it and give the car a proper run out tomorrow?
Thanks
Adam

OK, took the car out for another run this morning.
It ran very well, no problems and my 3k hesitation has definately gone.
When the engine was cold the Idle was spot on but once i had come back from my journey it was idling at between 700 and 800 rpm.
The engine sounds fine, it doesnt sound like it wants to stall but im getting this slight fluctuation in the idle.
Ive checked for error codes and it comes up blank - which is good.
Any idea why my idle should jump slightly after fitting an earthing kit?

Suppose so mate, it took me all bloody afternoon yesterday putting it on as well.
It was dark before i had finished!!
The car runs great so im not too concerned, especially after a diagnostic check came up OK.
Thanks
