im just about to pay for a my99 scooby, my first 1, and its got a full decat and ecu remapped, is there anything i should look for when buying the car, also ive heard that it might damage the car if the decat is done and remap done a while after any help would be great and also any info and things to look for when i view the car would help, its a my99 v reg 2000 turbo cheers.

 

1) is the engine quiet ?
2) is it ticking over fine ?
3) is there any bad smells or smoke ?
4) is the gearbox quiet ?
5) is there any whining noises ?
6) are all the panels straight
7) does the paint work all match
8) get a hpi check
9) take a mechanic or scooby enthusiast
10) is there good history with the car

Take it for a good run and turn stereo down and all windows up and use your ears
