If you have the right cable, and the right software from OpenECU then yes, you can flash, though there are little if any stock maps available for Euro. All of the maps are from USDM cars....
What exactly are you trying to do?

Vanagons with Subaru WRX Turbo Engines
I was going to have a play with this, though it will take some work to sort out the rom image to extract the fields....
This has been mentioned on the OpenECU site, though I am sure there is other software that will do the same.
Like I said, just got the cable myself, and at the moment got no car to plug it into to play..

i bought mine a long time ago about 2 years back now, originally it was labelled esp advanced, i have had one upgrade labelled esp genesis, i will have to check if there is a further update which may cover more detail.
have you had much to do with it, i found my version to be basic but then again it is cheaply priced so i guess the saying is
you get what you pay for

Scoobyview seems to be simple enough. There are files for monitor, port and skin. You just need to edit them to what you want. I assume that your Elmscan will have installed itself on your PC as a virtual com port (it is USB?). So say its COM4, then edit the file and change it....
I will have a look at JDash later....
Like I said I am looking for the same thing too...

Just extracted JDash. Run the config to get it into test mode, and change the skin to default gauges.....fire up jdash and see if this is good for you....
There is a logging skin and a gauge skin....looks pretty cool to me
