.....or do i need a phase 2 inlet manifold too?

Yes, i think it does Neil, as they use the same gaskets.

Thanks Steven. The reason i need to know was for fuel rail fitment, as IIRC phase 2 injectors are side feed, so would need to have changed the lot!

Sorry to butt in but I asked this question earlier & got no reply, what are the advantages of top feed as opposed to side feed & if it is a worthwhile mod whats involved?

no advantage, the reason i asked was because i have a newage car, and am going to be putting some older phase 2 sti heads on it. If the newage manifold didnt not fit then that would have meant i would need to change more than i had bargained for. i.e. the injectors as phase 2 ones are side feed, and newage are top feed. To my knowledge it doesnt make any difference what "feed" they are either way.
