WHAT BOOST CAN I RUN ON A WRX?
Please can some one help me,
I have installed an uprated fuel pump (wallbro or something like that!!) and have a dawes boost controller to put on. I was wondering what PSI i can crank out of the turbo before the fuel cut off will activate?
the car is a Jap WRX 1995 (260BHP model) if that helps.
Thank you in advanced

Very optimistic i'm afraid i honestly don't know how much more power but i would advise not pushing the boost so close to the fuel cut.Set the Dawes device to 1 bar (14.5psi) and see what that is like.
If you want more power a remappable ecu is the best and safest way to go (also the most expensive)

I strongly advize you install a knocklink before you up the boost, i have the same 1995 wrx as you and at 15psi it started flashing the orange leds and sometimes the red but at 13psi everything is ok as it will stay on the greens,
better being safe than sorry

Thank you, i think i will stick with 13-14PSI to be on the safe side. i dont want to go to the expense of a remap but i will get a knock link and AFR meter to monitor things.

my advise is to alter the boost via an ecu, bleedvalves are a killer, as the ecu tries to lean boost and fuel at top end of revs the bleed valve still holds high boost
leave it alone , know too many people that have damaged there engines by fitting bleed valves
dont want to melt piston 3
