Hi peeps, i was told on another thread (https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...ml#post6332283) that my ecu could be remappable?, i have a version 1 sti with the ecu pictured in the above thread it has the j1 resistor removed and a chip in the spare slot, in the above thread it was said that the ecu can be remapped when this chip is added to the ecu is this right?, was planning on buying an apexi power fc when my rebuild is done, didn`t want to waste my money if i can use my ecu.

Yes it can be mapped, sounds like it's been custom mapped already if your making 330, where abouts are you located?

 

I fitted a dawes device and an hks fcd to up boost mate and got the 330bhp, to my knowledge it hasn`t been custom mapped, im in ipswich mate.

If you put up a piccy of the chip people may help you identify it.
Gotta be a custom map as the STI 1 produced 250bhp as standard (basically its a modified wrx)
